I'm an electrical engineer, I was an avionics tech for 15 years. This is a very good explanation. When I heard FDR showed the switch positions changed 1 second apart and were put back 10 seconds laterI knew it was not a malfunction.
Former Navy P-3 Flight Engineer here, and your explanation of how the fuel shutoff switches work is excellent. Having shutdown and turned on fuel cutoff switches thousands of times, there is no way those switches were turned off by themselves. It virtually impossible, and designed that way. Keep up the good work Captain Steeeve!!
